9 Classic Tunes in the Late Disney Songwriter Robert Sherman
During the period of his career, Robert B. Sherman and the brother Richard authored probably the most endearing and indelible tunes associated with the Disney legacy, including their "It is a Small World (In The End)" amusement park ditty and also the music for Mary Poppins that gained them two Oscars. In recognition from the elder Sherman, who died now at age 86, let us traipse lower memory lane and revisit a few of the Sherman Brothers' most long lasting contributions. "Let us Meet UpInch (Parents Trap) "It is a Small World (In The End)" "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (Mary Poppins) "Chim Chim Cher-ee" (Mary Poppins) "A Spoonful of Sugar" (Mary Poppins) "I Wan'na End Up Like You" (The Jungle Book) "Portobello Road" (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) "Age Not Thinking" (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) "Winnie the Pooh" Theme Should you request me movie music does not get a lot better than the Mary Poppins songbook, although the Sherman Bros. loved lengthy careers which incorporated creating music for films like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Aristocats, and Charlotte's Web.
